Job summary

Alberta Society of Professional Biologists in Whitehorse, YT, is seeking a Terrestrial Biologist for a permanent full-time role supporting western Canada projects.

Responsibilities include leading wildlife field surveys, data analysis, and preparing technical reports. Requires an undergrad degree (or Master’s) with relevant experience and RPBio/P.Biol eligibility. Competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field-based wildlife surveys.
• Strong report writing and data analysis skills.
• Registration or eligibility as RPBio or PBiol.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct fieldwork related to wildlife and habitats.
• Manage and analyze wildlife data and ensure quality control.
• Prepare technical reports, baseline inventories, environmental assessments.
• Contribute to project proposals and budgets.
• Assist with permitting (YESAA) and client support.
• Collaborate within a team to meet project goals.
• Represent the company values and health and safety commitments.
