This full-time seasonal role runs roughly November through April, with a Wed-Sun schedule (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) and weekend/holiday shifts. Skiing or snowboarding ability is required; leadership experience and experience with park features are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must ski or snowboard at intermediate to expert level.
  • Leadership experience is an asset.
  • Terrain Park maintenance or design experience preferred.
  • Understand Freestyle feature design.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience with power tools, snowmobiles, and machinery.
  • Strong time management and organization in a fast-paced setting.
  • Able to work with limited supervision.
  • First aid or ski/snowboard instructor qualifications are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Terrain Park operations and guide feature design, build, and maintenance.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are met across all park tasks.
  • Coordinate layout, design and park flow with the team.
  • Provide coaching to develop staff skills and performance.
  • Schedule staff to cover peak periods and events and manage safety procedures.
  • Adhere to OHSA and Craigleith policies and procedures.

Are you passionate about terrain parks and ready to take your leadership skills to the next level? Craigleith Ski Club is seeking a Terrain Park Supervisor to lead a small, dedicated team in creating and maintaining an exceptional park experience for our members and guests.


This is a full-time seasonal position (approximately November through April) reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager / Operations Manager.

Job Summary

The Terrain Park Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Terrain Park and supporting the team with designing, building, and maintenance of the terrain park. The Supervisor will ensure the Terrain Park meets and exceeds safety and quality standards. The Supervisor will also coordinate the layout, design and flow of the park.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of Terrain Park team in the design, building, maintenance, and flow of the terrain park and its features.
  • Ensure daily tasks including opening, closing, signage and other operational and safety procedures are being carried out by the team.
  • Document maintenance upon completion in daily conditions report along with weather conditions and inspections for liability purposes.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee development.
  • Manage the scheduling of staff to meet operational needs, including peak periods and special events.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures across all operational areas.
  • Identify and assess operational risks and assist in the development of strategies to mitigate them.
  • Coordinate the design, building, and maintenance of the terrain park and its features.
  • Support the team with the installation, maintenance, building, and reinstallation of jumps and features.
  • Work with other departments to coordinate events throughout the season including promotion, set-up, building of features, maintenance and tear down
  • Facilitate hiring, training, and ongoing management of Terrain Park employees
  • Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Craigleith policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Must possess strong skiing/riding ability.
  • Previous leadership experience an asset
  • Terrain Park maintenance experience, or understanding of, preferred.
  • Possess an understanding of Freestyle feature design
  • Valid drivers license
  • Experience with various power tools, equipment, snowmobiles, and machinery.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work co-operatively in a lightly supervised setting
  • First aid and/or ski and snow boarder instructor qualifications an asset

Working Conditions

  • Working in all weather conditions, during days, evenings, nights and weekends

Physical Requirements

  • A physically demanding job, required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects up to 50lbs on a regular basis, shoveling, and do repetitive tasks.

Schedule & Season

  • Full-time schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, approximately 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Shifts may include weekends and holidays
  • Season: Approximately December to mid-April (weather dependent)
