What’s The Role

Shell Canada Integrated Gas is seeking a Terminal Operator to join their team in the Montreal – Terminal.

Accountabilities

  1. Oversee daily operations of the terminal
  2. Focus on the adoption of safe operating procedures
  3. Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance according to terminal standards
  4. Develop, update, and follow Local Operating Procedures and Checklists
  5. Support optimization of product movement schedules (ships, rail, pipeline, truck)
  6. Manage environmental and hazardous materials transportation risks in compliance with regulations
  7. Use and troubleshoot automated product movement and inventory management systems
  8. Communicate with internal support groups and government agencies
  9. Reconcile inventories daily and record data using distribution management systems
  10. Supervise drivers loading and offloading hydrocarbons and additives
  11. Supervise contractors and maintenance services with effective communication and safety leadership
  12. Oversee connection/disconnection of marine hoses and mooring activities
  13. Perform rail loading/offloading, including connecting/disconnecting and opening/closing railcars
  14. Inspect large bulk storage tanks for sampling, level checking, and gas testing
  15. Use IT systems (desktop, tablet, smartphone) for data entry and troubleshooting
  16. Monitor product quality parameters and liaise with relevant resources to ensure smooth operations

What You Bring

  1. Legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis
  2. College degree or Attestation of Collegial Studies in a related field
  3. At least 5 years relevant experience preferred
  4. Effective communication in French and English
  5. Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications
  6. Willingness to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts and overtime
  7. Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces
  8. Ability to lift and carry 20 kg
