What’s The Role
Shell Canada Integrated Gas is seeking a Terminal Operator to join their team in the Montreal – Terminal.
Accountabilities
- Oversee daily operations of the terminal
- Focus on the adoption of safe operating procedures
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance according to terminal standards
- Develop, update, and follow Local Operating Procedures and Checklists
- Support optimization of product movement schedules (ships, rail, pipeline, truck)
- Manage environmental and hazardous materials transportation risks in compliance with regulations
- Use and troubleshoot automated product movement and inventory management systems
- Communicate with internal support groups and government agencies
- Reconcile inventories daily and record data using distribution management systems
- Supervise drivers loading and offloading hydrocarbons and additives
- Supervise contractors and maintenance services with effective communication and safety leadership
- Oversee connection/disconnection of marine hoses and mooring activities
- Perform rail loading/offloading, including connecting/disconnecting and opening/closing railcars
- Inspect large bulk storage tanks for sampling, level checking, and gas testing
- Use IT systems (desktop, tablet, smartphone) for data entry and troubleshooting
- Monitor product quality parameters and liaise with relevant resources to ensure smooth operations
What You Bring
- Legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis
- College degree or Attestation of Collegial Studies in a related field
- At least 5 years relevant experience preferred
- Effective communication in French and English
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts and overtime
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces
- Ability to lift and carry 20 kg
