BC Ferries is seeking a Terminal Manager for Swartz Bay to lead daily terminal operations and administration, ensuring safety, quality service, and strong teamwork among diverse staff.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will coach employees, manage budgets and overtime, uphold environmental standards, and drive customer service enhancements while coordinating with crews and contractors. A business administration diploma and 3+ years in passenger terminal leadership are required.
Swartz Bay
We are looking for a passionate, dynamic leader to oversee the day-to-day operation and administration of our Swartz Bay terminal. You are a leader driven to achieve outstanding results, while enforcing a culture of safety and quality service at all times. You are a self-starter who promotes teamwork amongst diverse groups of staff and maintain positive interactions, while providing coaching, mentoring, and motivation in support of individual performance objectives.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, Terminal Operations, Swartz Bay, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:
You have a Post-Secondary diploma in business administration (or related field) or a suitable combination of education and experience. You have a minimum of three years’ experience managing a passenger transportation terminal, preferably marine transport and demonstrated experience in creating and managing large operating and capital budgets. Additionally, you have experience in implementing strategic initiatives and leading both unionized and non-unionized employees.
The target salary range: $98,500-$123,100 per annum.The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity. Starting salary may exceed the target range on exceptional basis.
