Lafarge Canada Inc is a leading manufacturer and supplier of quality products for the construction industry and has an immediate opportunity at our Saskatoon Cement Terminal for a Terminal Operator.
The ideal candidate will operate and maintain terminal equipment with a focus on bulk truck loading and bulk rail car unloading with associated administration reporting functions; all while maintaining high safety and quality assurance standards. To be successful, you will be comfortable with outdoor working conditions with a higher percentage of physicality to the role. Operation, equipment, and safety training will be provided as required.
The position is for full-time seasonal generally April to December and depending on sales could evolve to a full-time position should the need arise.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing, and a criminal record check, may be required.
