The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a Tradesperson Apprentice – Mechanic for their Middleton Bus Garage. This term position, lasting from July 2, 2025, to July 30, 2026, involves performing maintenance and repairs on school buses, including diesel engines and braking systems. Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance withthe Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Collective Agreement Local 3876.
Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor, the Mechanic will be responsible for completing major bus maintenance checks and repairs to diesel engines, transmissions, drive trains, suspension systems, brakes, exhaust systems, electrical and auxiliary equipment, etc.

Qualified applicants from within the CUPE Bargaining Unit Local 3876 will be considered first. Should there be no qualified candidate from within the Bargaining Unit, new applicants will be considered.
