Job summary

YMCA of Northern Alberta invites applications for a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator term position on-site in Edmonton. The role supports children 0-12 with high-quality curriculum and inclusive learning, fostering growth, curiosity, and belonging.

Requirements include Level 3 Child Care Certification (or in progress), Standard First Aid & CPR–C, and the ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check. Term ends June 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children preferred.
• Level 3 Child Care Certification (or in progress).
• Standard First Aid & CPR – C.
• Able to obtain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable sector check.
• Experience with a tablet and Microsoft Office - Word.

Responsibilities

• Implements YMCA approved curriculum to promote development in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Facilitating engaging activities that encourage creativity and social interaction.
• Observing and documenting children's development to support learning.
• Maintains a safe environment following YMCA policies and Licensing regulations.
• Communicates daily with parents and completes required administrative tasks.
• Supports and mentors new Educators.
