The anticipated start date is July 1, 2025. We are inviting applications from researchers in business disciplines, including: Accounting, Business Analytics, Business Strategy, Business Sustainability, Ethics and Corporate Governance, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management, Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, and Supply Chain Management. Applicants must have a record of research commensurate with the rank and a demonstrated successful experience in teaching, and senior-level candidates should have accomplished excellence in research. Entry level applicants should demonstrate research productivity in their area and should have completed their Ph.D. or be near completion. We prioritize candidates with experience and peer-reviewed quality publications.

Duties include: developing and maintaining an active research program aimed at making a significant contribution to the profession, teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, supervising Ph.D. and Masters students in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program, as well as contributing to other teaching and administrative initiatives of the Faculty of Management. Candidates at the senior level will be expected to provide leadership that will enhance the reputation of the Faculty. Teaching and service requirements are similar to other research-intensive universities. Candidates will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Faculty consists of management faculty who are diverse in their expertise and undertake research with a wide range of themes. More information about the Faculty can be found on its web site at https://management.ok.ubc.ca/.

Applications should include:

(1) a cover letter explaining your interest in UBC Okanagan’s Faculty of Management

(2) a curriculum vitae,

(5) a one-page teaching statement that indicates courses taught and courses preferred,

(6) A record of teaching evaluations (if available),
(7) a one-page statement identifying your contributions, or potential contributions, to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) along with your ability to work with culturally diverse and international students, and (8) names of three references (letters will be requested of candidates who are shortlisted).

Please compile your application documents into one PDF file, using your last name (e.g., smith.pdf) as the file name, and submit the application to: fom.reception@ubc.ca using "2024 Faculty Position" in the subject line. Review of applications will begin on December 2, 2024. All applications received by this date will receive full consideration. Applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled. The position is subject to final budgetary approval. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

We will conduct initial interviews via Zoom.
