The Department of Economics at the University of Alberta invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Economics with a start date of July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will teach microeconomic theory at the Master’s and PhD levels and contribute to the undergraduate program through existing or new courses.

Responsibilities include active research and graduate supervision. Applicants must hold a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• PhD in Economics (or near completion) required.
• Evidence of outstanding potential for teaching and research.
• Experience teaching microeconomic theory at graduate levels is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Teach microeconomic theory at Master’s and PhD levels.
• Contribute to undergraduate program via courses or new undergraduate courses.
• Maintain an active research program and supervise graduate students.
