The Halton District School Board (HDSB) seeks a School Social Worker to join its clinical services team for a temporary long-term occasion position across HDSB schools in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills.
The role focuses on short-term counselling, case management, and collaboration with families, schools, and community partners to support student wellbeing, equity, and safety. Ten months, 35 hours per week, with a comprehensive benefits plan for eligible staff.

Pay Rate: $80,113.00 - $106,216.00 per year as per the collective agreement
Salary step would be determined based on previous experience

We are seeking a Social Worker to join our clinical services team.
For temporary long-term occasional (LTOs) positions, once hired as a long-term occasional member of the team, applicants have first consideration for permanent opportunities. A comprehensive Employee & Family Benefits plan applies to those in positions longer than 90 consecutive days.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Social Work team at the Halton District School Board. Areas of responsibility may include:
The Safe and Inclusive Schools Team including The H.O.P.E.S team (for students who have been suspended for 6 or more days or expelled)
The Welcome Centre (for newcomers, refugees, and international students)
HDSB Social Workers are capable of providing short-term individual and/or group counselling as well as support to parents and families. They provide comprehensive support and case management and are knowledgeable of local and regional community resources. HDSB Social Workers have knowledge related to bullying prevention and intervention, including training in restorative practices and conflict resolution strategies.
The Halton Region has been growing fast and growth is projected to remain strong for the foreseeable future. The region's population is anticipated to almost double in size by 2051, from a current population of 596,637 to a projected population of 1,100,000 by 2051.
