Job summary

Spirit River Regional Academy, a part of Peace Wapiti Public School Division, invites applications for a Temporary Part-Time Educational Assistant– ECS Support (18 hours/week). The Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certificated teacher in a student-focused, collaborative environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma (Educational Assistant Diploma preferred) and a current Criminal Record Check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Educational Assistant Diploma is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid would be considered an asset.
• Experience working with children in a classroom/organized setting is preferred.
• Ability to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care.
• Ability to meet outside of school hours.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Current Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check) dated within the last six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated teachers under supervision.
• Support students in classroom and during ECS activities.
• Be available to meet outside of school hours as needed.

Terms and conditions of employment are outlined in Policy GGG: Personnel Policy for Non-Teaching Staff. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $21.28/hour to $28.02/hour.
