Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Accounting, the Part-Time Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing support to various Financial Services accounting functions.

  • Process daily bank deposits and arrange for armoured transportation pick up
  • Scan cheques and upload to bank
  • Enter debit card deposits in Workday
  • Balance, prepare reconciliations and reports for accounts and statements on a recurring basis;
  • Work and liaise with the team and other departments to provide information related to deposits and scanned cheques
  • Prepare working papers and provides assistance as needed with external auditor
  • Provides other back-up support within Financial Services as needed; and,
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To Our Team

As the successful applicant, you must possess:

  • A three year post-secondary diploma/degree in Accounting, Finance or other equivalent with Accounting Major;
  • Workday Finance experience would be an asset;
  • Completion or enrolment in the Municipal Accounting and Finance Program (MAFP);
  • A minimum of two (2) years of directly related work experience, preferably in a Municipal finance environment; and
  • Intermediate level computer skills (MS Office, accounting related systems).

Salary Range/Hourly Rate

$23.89 - $26.59
