We Are Seeking a Teacher Who:
  • Works diligently to build strong rapport with students to create a safe, caring, and welcoming learning environment;
  • Can work collaboratively as part of an instructional team, utilizing flexible groupings;
  • Has experience in teaching balanced literacy with a sound reading and writing practice;
  • Incorporates numeracy skills across the curriculum effectively;
  • Understands current outcomes-based assessment practices;
  • Utilizes a variety of pedagogical approaches based on best practices;
  • Can design innovative, integrated units that develop students' critical thinking and 21st-century skills as outlined in the Ministerial Order for Student Learning;
  • Integrates fine arts and uses technology across the curriculum;
  • Supports inclusive education by ensuring success for students with diverse academic, behavioral, emotional, and cultural needs;
  • Is a reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional learning aligned with the Teaching Quality Standards (TQS);
  • Possesses strong organizational and classroom management skills.

The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. The position begins on August 25, 2025, and ends on December 19, 2025. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
