Job summary

Rocky View Schools invites applications for a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) Middle School Math/Science teaching position at Meadowbrook Middle School in Airdrie, Alberta, starting August 27, 2026 and ending June 29, 2027.

The successful candidate will hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate and will demonstrate commitment to safe, inclusive classrooms and strong student learning outcomes. This role may require collaboration with staff and participation in school initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
• New graduates: submit practicum report in lieu of reference letter.
• External applicants must provide a professional reference from a recent supervisor.
• Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check required within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Teach Middle School Math/Science to grades 7–9 at Meadowbrook Middle School.
• Collaborate with staff to support inclusive classrooms and student learning.

The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) Middle School Math/Science teaching position starting August 27, 2026 until June 29, 2027 at Meadowbrook Middle School.

This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS.

Pre-employment Requirements

• Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education at .
• New/Recent Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter, please submit your final practicum report.
• External applicants must provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months
• The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment.
