Long Term Care Dispensary Pharmacist - Temporary

As a London Drugs LTC Dispensary pharmacist, it involves providing indirect patient care in a team-oriented environment with clinical pharmacists, regulated pharmacy technicians, assistants, doctors, and nurses. Our continuing-care focused dispensary fosters professional excellence, diverging from conventional retail dispensaries. Pharmacy technicians and advanced technology are used to relieve pharmacists from routine tasks, allowing focus on practicing pharmacy. You will have the tools and opportunity to practice in a well-equipped pharmacy with regular pharmacist overlap, optimizing patient care.
Resident care is paramount. All pharmacists are committed to professionalism and innovative resident care services.
You will actively engage in therapeutic evaluation of prescriptions, monitor patient profiles/electronic charts, support clinical services as per Alberta Pharmacy Services Framework, and oversee compounding and unit-dose packaging activities. An interest in disease management, compliance programs, seminars, workshops, and clinics is essential.
