Job Description

The Site Supervisor at the Bayers Lake Community Outpatient Centre is responsible for managing site operations according to the specifications of the Client Service Manager (CSM), the client, and Paladin Security policies. They foster a safe, energetic work environment and ensure their duties and objectives are met.

The supervisor oversees all security duties at their site, ensuring compliance with operational policies and procedures. They serve as the frontline representative of Paladin Management and contribute to the development of officers and enforcement of policies. They also handle paperwork, investigate issues, and coordinate with the CSM to meet client needs effectively.

Specific Duties
  • Manage shift operations and staff, including administrative tasks such as reviewing incident reports, log sheets, and audit forms.
  • Ensure operational requirements like escorts, unlocks/lockups, access control, and emergency responses are met.
  • Maintain incident report quality and ensure all reports are complete and legible.
  • Know operational manuals and contact protocols.
  • Foster open communication among staff and with the CSM, addressing morale and staffing issues promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of office areas and audit binders weekly.
  • Implement programs or initiatives as requested by the client or CSM.
  • Manage key control and pass programs, verifying staff and contractor identification before equipment distribution.
  • Monitor email accounts and ensure memos are printed and filed appropriately.
  • Brief Shift Supervisors and officers at shift change, ensuring timely breaks.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and maintain positive site relationships.
  • Audit officers' notebooks, record findings, and report to the Site Supervisor.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and accolades, forwarding paperwork to the CSM.
  • Schedule staff, manage payroll entries, and oversee staff attire in line with policies.
  • Perform daily administrative duties, including email management, shift handovers, and paperwork review.
  • Ensure staff complete required training and courses, scheduling as needed.
  • Audit reports in Tracktik, ensuring timely entries and quality.
  • Analyze security metrics, prepare reports, and present security trend analyses.
  • Complete employee evaluations and handle scheduling, vacation requests, and overtime approvals.
  • Attend meetings and manage shift coverage as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies, taking command and ensuring proper reporting.
  • Ensure staff read and understand health and safety policies, reporting infractions or incidents.
  • Maintain open communication with the CSM, report site issues, and encourage teamwork.
  • Ensure no time loss occurs on site and record after-hours calls for follow-up.
  • Handle disciplinary issues with witnesses and proper documentation.
  • Manage miscellaneous tasks that contribute to site efficiency, such as cleanliness, staff recognition, and emergency calls.
