Job Description

As part of our Borderline Personality Self Regulation Clinic, you will be involved in all aspects of an adherent Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) outpatient program. You will provide clinical assessment and treatment, consultative and educational services to clients, families, community providers, referral sources, and other community partners.

You will demonstrate initiative and creative approaches to challenging situations, work collaboratively, and have formal training and experience in DBT service delivery with individuals who have Borderline Personality Disorder. You will actively work with referral sources and community partners, providing individual and group counseling, liaison, consultation, and education services.

Requirements
  • Masters of Psychotherapy
  • Registered with College of Psychotherapists in good standing
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards
  • Experience working with borderline personality disorder in outpatient settings
  • Certification and practice in DBT
  • 3-5 years of recent psychiatric experience in mental health facilities or services
  • Community mental health service provision experience
  • Training in facilitating psychoeducational groups
  • Understanding of legislation such as the Mental Health Act and PHIPA
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current CPR-HCP certification
  • Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to perform physical demands of the position

This position is part of the OPSEU bargaining unit.
