We are seeking a temporary full time (1.0 FTE) teacher to teach Jr/Sr High Math. The contract will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is found and will end on June 29, 2027.

We are seeking a teacher who has;

• Appropriate educational training and teaching the Alberta curricula;
• A strong understanding of outcomes based assessment practices;
• Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team;
• A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring and welcoming learning environment;
• A strong belief in parent involvement and communication including regular communication with home beyond the use report cards;
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills;
• An in depth knowledge of and experience with current outcomes based assessment practices and ability to develop multiple assessments such as portfolios and projects, in addition to more traditional assessments;
• A passion for working with an ethnically diverse group of students, including First Nations Metis and Inuit students;
• An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, emotional and/or curricular needs within the classroom setting;
• Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same;

Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
