Ready to suit up as an Event Screening Supervisor
Join GardaWorld Security as we prepare for one of the most significant events of summer 2025! We are looking for experienced Event Security Supervisors to lead a team of a minimum of 150 employees responsible for Personnel Screening at various locations (Calgary and Kananaskis). This temporary role will be from June 8 to June 18, 2025, and training will be the week prior. - This position includes 8-hour shifts and travel time to Kananaskis. We will take care of transportation from Calgary, and you will be paid for your travel time both to and from the event.
- Individuals selected for this position must be available to work all days of the temporary coverage.
Responsibilities for Event Screening Security Supervisor
- Direct and supervise all Event Screening Security Guards
- Screen all persons, belongings, and parcels for weapons or other prohibited items
- Use screening equipment including, but not limited to, x-ray machines, walk-through metal detectors, and hand-held (wand) metal detectors
- Comply with post orders as provided by the site commander
- Assist visitors and very high-profile clients
- Enforce access control procedures
- If/when required, provide first aid
- Carry out evacuation procedures in the event of a fire or emergency
- Coordinate with law enforcement when necessary to address arising situations
- Report to the site commander
Qualifications for Event Screening Security Supervisor
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Experience with screening technology systems
- 1-3 years of security supervisor experience
- Proven experience in staff leadership, operations management, and client relations
- Demonstrated ability to follow operational security measures, protect confidential information, and exercise good judgment and discretion
- Able to pass an RCMP clearance background check
- Flexible to work different hours if required
- First Aid certificate
- Valid Alberta Security Guard license
- Must have strong customer service skills, mature attitude, and professionalism
