Job summary

Curtis-Horne Christian School (CHCS) in Regina, Saskatchewan, is urgently seeking an elementary teacher to fill a six-month leave from approximately November 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027. The ideal candidate will engage students across subjects, utilize technology, and foster a Christ-centered learning environment for a diverse student body.

The applicant should hold a Saskatchewan teaching certificate, SDA denominational certification or be eligible for one, and demonstrate strong communication

Qualifications

• Member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing.
• Criminal police check & vulnerable sector check.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education.
• SDA Denominational Certification or eligible for one.
• Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certification.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit).
• Ability to teach using innovative methods (STEM, STEAM, research-based).
• Experience teaching diverse abilities and multi-grades.
• Classroom experience with effective communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for education and helping diverse students.
• Independent thinker with a love for children and commitment to academic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of subjects to elementary students.
• Incorporate technology into lessons and school programs.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, parents, and students.
• Support and assist in the overall school program as needed.
