Job summary

Rocky View Schools is seeking a temporary full-time Elementary Generalist teacher for Elbow Valley Elementary School, Springbank (west of Calgary). The role runs from September 28, 2026 to November 10, 2026, serving students in Kindergarten through Grade 4 in both French Immersion and English settings.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. New graduates should submit practicum reports; external applicants must include a reference letter and a Vulnerable Sector

Qualifications

• Alberta Teaching Certificate must be possessed or eligible for certification.
• New/Recent Graduates: final practicum report in lieu of a reference letter.
• External applicants must provide a professional reference letter from their most recent supervisor, on company letterhead, dated within 18 months.
• Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check required within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) Elementary Generalist teaching position starting September 28, 2026 until November 10, 2026 at Elbow Valley Elementary School.

This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS.

Pre-employment Requirements

• Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education at .
• New/Recent Graduates Only : In lieu of a reference letter please submit your final practicum report.
