Sun West School Division seeks an Educational Assistant at Elizabeth Middle School, Kindersley, SK, to support students with intensive needs. The role is temporary full-time, 6 hours per day on student days, starting ASAP and continuing until June 25, 2027.

Responsibilities include aiding physical, cognitive, and medical needs, personal care, lifting, and monitoring health plans. Collaboration with staff ensures safe, inclusive education for diverse learners.

Formación

• Experience with individuals with cognitive or physical limitations is an asset.
• Post-secondary education in a related field, such as an Educational Assistant Certificate, is considered an asset.
• Ability to build rapport and maintain a calm, patient demeanor while supporting student needs.

Responsabilidades

• Support physical, cognitive, and medical needs of students as assigned.
• Provide personal care, lifting, transferring as needed.
• Assist with medical needs such as diabetic monitoring, feeding tubes, seizure response, and health care plans.
• Assist with toileting or hygiene routines, support behaviour needs, and implement activities from therapists.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and other professionals to deliver programs.
