Prairie Valley School Division is hiring a Temporary full-time Educational Assistant I at Fort Qu'Appelle Elementary Community School. The role supports students with diverse needs, providing personal care, academic assistance and behaviour support in a collaborative team.

The position requires Grade 12 or equivalent, with potential certification in Educational Assistant studies and First Aid/CPR/AED. The 6 hours 10 minutes per day schedule follows the school calendar, with benefits under CUPE

Qualifikationen

• Grade 12 or equivalent required or in progress.
• Educational Assistant certificate or diploma preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/AED training preferred.
• Training in supporting students with differing abilities is an asset.
• Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention training preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide personal care and support to students while promoting independence.
• Assist students with daily living and academic tasks as directed by teachers.
• Support student programming records and attend conferences as requested.
• Promote positive behaviour and support social interactions per safety plans.
• Collaborate with the student team to enable learning in least restrictive settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the School Administrator.
