Overview

SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Driller, Diamond. The Seabee Gold Operation is located about 500km northeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Location and schedule details: two weeks on, two weeks off at a remote camp, with fly-in fly-out travel from Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge.

Responsibilities

• Operate hardrock portable hydraulic diamond drill rigs to bore holes to specified depths.
• Perform repairs and maintenance to drill rigs and related equipment.
• Complete daily activity reports and manage inventory of spare parts and consumables.
• Hold detailed knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical drilling systems and components.

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and ability to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
• Reading, numeracy, written and oral communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Problem-solving ability and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of diamond drilling experience.

Working Conditions

This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at a remote camp, with fly-in fly-out arrangements from specified pickup points.
