Job summary

S&R Seniors Living in Canada seeks a Temporary - Contract Activity Coordinator to design and lead engaging activities, events, and volunteer programs that enhance Residents' daily life. This hands-on role supports creativity and engagement under a maternity-leave coverage, with a focus on coordinating programs and volunteers.

The role requires experience in recreation or activation, strong customer service, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Education or experience in Recreation/Activation or related field.
• Good working knowledge of recreational programming and techniques.
• Experience in hospitality and event planning.
• Strong customer service skills and experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Extremely enthusiastic and creative.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Designs a creative and exciting activities program to meet the individual needs and interests of Residents including the development of a monthly activities calendar.
• Assists with department goals and communicates the programs and processes required to achieve them.
• Supervise and retain volunteers.
• Identify and develop opportunities to create relationships with community partners and organizations.
• Coordinate transportation of Residents to and from events outside the Residence.
• Oversee seasonal celebrations.
• Support in‑service participation, meetings and committees.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Monitor resident participation rate and encourage attendance.

Join our team as a FUN Coordinator! In this role, you will design and lead engaging activities, events, and volunteer programs that bring joy and connection to Residents' daily lives. It's a hands‑on role where your creativity directly boosts engagement and quality of life. Please note this is a temporary 4 month contract to cover a maternity leave.
