To be successful as our new Assistant Director of Nursing Care, you will:

  • Hold a current registration as a Registered Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Hold current Heart Save Level of CPR
  • Act as a Specialist Leader pertaining to all aspects of infection prevention and control
  • Support the delivery of IPAC education to all team members, caregivers, volunteers, students, visitors, and residents
  • Understand the IPAC protocol and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulations specific to infection control
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
  • Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Assistant Director of Nursing Care role
  • Have three (3) years of experience leading and directing department(s) in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working with people living with Dementia and understand how to support individuals expressing Personal Expressions

It would be an asset if our new Assistant Director of Nursing Care has:

  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations applicable to the long-term care sector, including the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and Health & Safety
