Position Overview

The Global Template Designer role is essential to provide support services to all six global sites of FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies (FDB) where the IDBS electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) system is in place. The role serves as a Help Desk problem solver, reviser and creator of new ELN templates, and as a trainer to support all PD and PS teams using the software globally. This person plays a key role in helping create and execute the rolling sprint-based adoption strategy globally for PD digital lab operations related to IDBS.

Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Oversight: Answer and solve client Hotline Tickets. Revise and create new ELN execution templates for the global Process Development and Process Sciences Organizations.
  • Training & Support: Train Super Users in New or Existing ELN templates and modules. Support lab teams with adoption of new ELN templates and modules. Create new training materials (user guides, troubleshooting guides, video webinars, etc.) as needed.
  • Up to Date: Stay abreast of current state of technology in the Biotech industry with respect to Process Development digital lab operations.
  • Execution: Participate as a key core team member in weekly meetings, helping to execute and design the next rolling spring strategies for adoption and continuous improvement of the Process Development and Process Sciences digital laboratory environment.
  • Participation: Attend monthly global department Super User meetings to understand feedback and use needs in AD, Upstream and Downstream areas.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a Process Development laboratory in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience and aptitude writing formulas in Excel.
  • Experience with training (preferred - have taken a train the trainer course).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Technical aptitude with database driven coding.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize.
  • Essential experience: >5 years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical area.
  • Insight in / experience with emergent technologies.
  • Proven ability to design and implement complex spreadsheet systems.
  • Proven ability to write quality documents.
  • Proven presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams.
