Job description

Event installation crew and AV technicians are essential to the success of every Sea-to-Sky event! Your participation in temporary shifts helps make these events possible. Sign up to earn competitive wages on your schedule, with pay up to $30/hour plus bonuses.

Positions and Schedule
  • Positions: Event Installation Crew and AV Technicians
  • Dates: Ongoing daily shifts based on local events
Responsibilities
  • Event Installation: Assist with setting up and dismantling event staging, gates, tents, signage, involving physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • AV Technicians: Handle cable connections, wiring, and setup of audio-visual equipment such as speakers, microphones, monitors, soundboards, cameras, and lighting. Includes unloading/loading trucks and setting up heavy equipment.
Work Hours and Locations
  • Hours: Morning, evening, and overnight shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours. Overtime applies after 8 hours.
  • Locations: Whistler, Squamish, and Pemberton
Qualifications
  • Event Installation: General labor or construction experience preferred. Must be friendly, hardworking, physically fit, able to lift heavy loads, and stay on your feet. Steel toe boots are required.
  • AV Technicians: Relevant technical skills and experience preferred.
Compensation
  • Wage: $22-$30/hr plus 4% vacation pay. Pay increases with successful shifts completed, with bonuses included. Ask us for details.
  • Pay Tiers:
    • Proby (Tier 1): $22/hr to start
    • Regular (Tier 2): $24/hr after 10 shifts
    • Hero (Tier 3): $26/hr after 20 shifts
  • AV Tech Tiers:
    • Proby: $26/hr to start
    • Regular: $28/hr after 10 shifts
    • Hero: $30/hr after 20 shifts
Successful Shifts

Being on time, working diligently, and ensuring client satisfaction qualify as successful shifts, which contribute to pay increases.
