St. Mary's School in Listowel, Ontario is seeking a Temporary Educational Assistant to support students' academic, behavioural, safety, medical and physical needs, both individually and in groups, under the direction of the Principal and the SERT.

You will help foster an inclusive and faith-based learning environment, assist with IEPs and behavioural plans, monitor progress, and promote positive social development while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualificações

• Two-year college diploma in Educational Support or related field.
• Experience in a school, educational setting or childcare.
• NCVI training preferred or required.
• Experience with children with a range of exceptionalities.
• Strong communication, confidentiality and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and basic computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide educational support to students individually or in groups.
• Assist with implementing IEP/behaviour/safety plans under guidance.
• Support inclusion of students in classroom activities and events.
• Monitor and communicate data on student progress and behaviours.
• Promote positive, faith-based school climate and independence in students.
• Collaborate with Principal, SERT and teachers as needed.
