Job summary

Riverside Health Care Inc. in Manitoba seeks a part-time Registered Practical Nurse to support telemedicine initiatives within Therapeutic Services.

You will assist the telemedicine coordinator, coordinate patient appointments, and help deliver high-quality telemedicine care. The role requires a minimum 3 years RPN experience, CPR, and the ability to work with physicians and colleagues across disciplines; strong communication, education, and supervision skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Practical Nursing Program and current Certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current CPR.
• Minimum 3 years Registered Practical Nursing Experience; telemedicine experience considered an asset.
• Experience in education, training and supervision.
• Experience working with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work with computer systems, applications and new technology.
• Demonstrated assessment skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Promotes opportunities for telemedicine.

Responsibilities

• Assist the telemedicine coordinator with the development, delivery and monitoring of telemedicine initiatives.
• Promote telemedicine to healthcare professionals, patients and the community.
• Monitor day-to-day patient appointments in Telemedicine Units.
• Assist with scheduling and supervision of telemedicine service delivery.
• Maintain knowledge base regarding telemedicine activities.
