Responsibilities

• Diagnose and locate equipment faults; adjust, replace or repair telecom equipment.
• Inspect operation of telecommunications equipment.
• Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and hardware.
• Repair or replace defective telephone equipment.
• Test installed telephone systems to identify transmission faults.
• Analyze test results; adjust, modify or repair switching systems, network, and software.
• Complete and maintain test and service reports.
• Determine nature, cause and location of trouble.
• Install electromechanical, analog and digital trunking systems in central offices.

• The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and locating equipment faults, as well as adjusting, replacing, or repairing telecommunicationsequipment.


• The candidate must inspect the operation of telecommunications equipment.


• The candidate will be responsible for installing, arranging, removing, and maintaining telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.


• The candidate will be responsible for repairing or replacing defective telephone equipment.


• The candidate will be responsible for testing installed telephone systems to identify transmission faults.


• The candidate must analyze test results and adjust, modify, or repair the switching system, network, associated equipment, and software.


• The candidate must complete and maintain test and service reports.


• The candidate must determine the nature, cause, and location of the trouble.


• The candidate will be responsible for installing electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems, circuits, and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centres.
