Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a Civil / Drafting Engineer – French to work onsite in Montréal for a 12-month assignment. You will develop and modify civil and telecom drawings, prepare installation and construction documentation, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

You will collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver accurate drawings for 5G upgrades, rooftop designs, and tower modifications, while maintaining meticulous records and supporting quality control.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years in civil drafting, structural drafting, or telecom infrastructure drafting.
• Professional Engineering designation or OIQ eligibility required.
• French language proficiency mandatory (written and verbal).
• Experience preparing telecom construction drawings and installation packages.
• Knowledge of civil/structural drafting practices, telecom site layouts, rooftop installations, tower reinforcement, and foundations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify technical drawings for telecom network projects, including site plans, schematics, construction details, and installation layouts.
• Prepare complete construction documentation packages for implementation and field execution.
• Draft installation packages for 5G upgrades, rooftop designs, tower modifications, and related telecom infrastructure work.
• Prepare structural detailing drawings including foundation details, tower reinforcement, and related civil/structural components.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure designs meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Maintain drawing records, revisions, documentation logs, and project-related information.
• Support quality control by validating design inputs, markups, revisions, and final drawing deliverables.

• Strong experience preparing telecom construction drawings and installation packages.
• Solid understanding of civil/structural drafting practices, telecom site layouts, rooftop installations, tower reinforcement, and foundation detailing.
