Overview

We seek a Technology Value Realization Specialist to join our Technology Strategy & Planning Department (TSPD). The department leads technology lifecycle management, from strategy to value realization, supporting integration of new technologies into corporate strategies and investments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support company-wide deployment of the Technology Realized Value (TRV) KPI validation and reporting, collaborating with upstream, downstream, finance, and technology teams.
• Manage and oversee the technology stage-gate process, ensuring support for R&D, deployment, and transition to operations to realize technology investments' value.
• Lead and support scientists, engineers, and specialists in de-risking and decision-making for R&D projects, ensuring technical and commercial readiness.
• Advise project teams on business case development, deployment, and value strategies, partnering with technical and commercial stakeholders to optimize R&D returns.
• Assess and improve technology stage-gate practices to ensure compliance and high standards.
• Collaborate with R&D, business, and support functions to align activities and facilitate smooth technology management processes.
• Provide guidance on business case development, IP, commercial strategy, deployment, and techno-economic analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering; MBA or Finance is highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in commercial technology development and value realization, preferably in oil, gas, or chemicals.
• Subject matter expertise, business acumen, and change management skills.
• Experience with Project and Portfolio Management systems (e.g., Planisware, Clarity).
• Proven ability to work with multicultural, cross-functional teams and develop productive relationships.
• Experience with Operational Excellence processes and continuous improvement.
