We are seeking a Technology Support Specialist to join our Winnipeg Office!
As part of our IT Team, you will provide on-site technical support for staff on software applications and hardware.
Your daily responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support for software and hardware (printers, smartphones, monitors, terminals, etc.).
- Managing support calls: opening, monitoring, escalating, resolving, and following up promptly.
- Offering troubleshooting assistance and staff training on hardware and software issues.
- Maintaining knowledge of critical software applications and firm-owned software.
- Updating the support database and generating reports as needed.
- Communicating effectively with IT team members.
- Escalating complex issues and following up accordingly.
- Contributing to the development of support standards, policies, and procedures, and testing new software.
- Using remote access tools to assist staff remotely.
- Remaining accessible via a company smartphone during working hours.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate has:
- At least two years of IT experience.
- A college certificate in PC support or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a team player.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2019 or Office 365.
- Proficiency in Windows 10 and 11.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise good judgment, and work under pressure.
- Availability during normal working hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
