This is a 2 days in office and hybrid position located in New York City.






You Will




The Technology Department is a critical driver and enabler for the Girl Scouts movement. This is where technical expertise, such as application development, solutions architecture, data engineering and infrastructure support all reside to deliver the best experience for girls, volunteers, and supporters. Directly tied into strategy and innovation, technology solutions crafted in partnership with councils and business partners range from proof of concepts to deployment of highly complex and critical systems. We deliver technology expertise across all the disciplines and key business systems for the GSUSA application portfolio. Come join the team and make an impact!

POSITION SUMMARY

The GSUSA Technology Project Manager, Business Analyst plays a vital role in working in the Technology PMO ensuring that the team is working effectively to deliver quality solutions that help the organization build resilient, best-in-class digital platforms, products and infrastructure. This position requires the planning and execution of development work while connecting and providing transparency to our business partners.

The Technology Project Manager, Business Analyst will manage Tech-related workstreams, facilitate and track dependencies between cross-functional teams to ensure the right features are delivered on time, in scope, and on budget and provide a consolidated view (dashboard) all project deliverables. They partner with the business to gather and prioritize business requirements, advise on Tech-related solutions, translate business and customer requirements into functional and technical requirements, shape project success criteria around Tech-related workstreams and solutions, and ensure that key stakeholder satisfaction and business goals are met to match the needs of our audience.

They foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align at every touchpoint throughout the entire project lifecycle. She/he is responsible for working with Product Management and internal stakeholders to help define business requirements and scope and execution of deliverables while maintaining high visibility in the development process throughout the entire organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Primary duties of the position

Plan and Manage multiple assigned projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope to include:.

Work with business and product owners to scope functional and technical requirements, communicate to relevant stakeholders, and work with teams to deliver them in a successful and timely manager. Create executive level frameworks ,current state, future state roadmaps, process flows and documents to take users 'on the journey'

-Manage intra- and inter-team dependencies, highlight project blockers and risks and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them

-Partner with business owners, internal teams, and stakeholders to define the project success metrics and roadmap, develop implementation plans and milestones, and measure against metrics

-Effectively prioritize Technology project deliverables. Direct and be accountable for Organizational change management within your program domain

-Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates. Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Individual Contributors who have a high level of expertise and are subject matter experts in their specified area.

* Excellent ability to create and contribute to executive level and working frameworks on strategy, status updates and utilize required Project Management Tools. Ability to create process level roadmaps at both a detailed level and executive level.

* Excellent ability to create project plans from start defining clear goals, objectives and milestones working with the team in a fast-moving environment. Ability to use fit for purpose Project Management tools from both Waterfall and Agile Project Methodologies.

* Experience creating and maintaining technical architecture documentation

* Mindset of no task too small, ready to help, support as needed see and own tasks to completion

* Strong Leadership abilities. Able to use influence management to inspire project team members

* Able to anticipate and remove impediments, provide escalation management and make tradeoffs by balancing business needs with technical constraints

* Ability to oversee planning of projects, programs, and initiatives ensuring consistency and compliance to company processes

* Will build a reputation as a trusted partner who understands the business and collaborates to deliver on commitments and drive business results

* Must be able to work successfully within a milestone-driven environment utilizing standardized project management processes

* Ability to help define and refine working processes in order to maximize efficiency in constantly evolving environments

* Can create, track and allocate budgets used to prioritize programs and projects and manage resourcing for complete end-to-end planning

* Ability to manage the collaboration of the IT PMO with Platform Engineering, Technical Operations, Customer, Applications, Procurement, Finance, Marketing and additional stakeholders. Develop solutions that are fit for purpose and achievable within the budget, scope, and on schedule

* The ability to dynamically adapt to shifts in priorities and projects in an ambiguous environment, resolving contention and solving problems across technology and our business partners

* Self-motivated with a strong desire to initiate and drive projects; ability to work independently and in a team

* The ability to discuss technical issues, limitations, requirements, etc. in a way that is understandable to non-technical users

* Effortless collaborator and expert communicator who can work well across and within cross functional teams

* Experience project managing applications and architecture across a wide variety of platforms such as Customer Applications, Infrastructure, Security, Platform Engineering.

* Preferred experience with agile, design thinking, strategy frameworks in application development and technical architecture

* Able to lead Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives

* The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under time pressures

* Experience managing external vendors and partners

* Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences

* Possess the leadership ability to motivate others by demonstrating a clear purpose for the team and how their work fits into the company's strategy while facilitating a sense of autonomy

* Team player that is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done

* Quick study who can flex her/his approach with comfort and ease

* Highly organized and detail oriented

* The ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes and see things from their perspective

* The preference for candidates is to be in a Hybrid Environment in our NYC office with expectation of being in office at least 2 days a week and if needed for support.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Wrike, MS Teams and other related project management and collaboration tools

Office 365 or similar suites

Competency in Microsoft Excel or similar software

Competency in PowerPoint or similar presentation software

Microsoft Power BI familiarity or willingness to learn.

Degree or Equivalent Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' experience in corporate PMO environment or related experience

SALARY RANGE: $61,900 - $115,000

This represents the present low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
