The Capital Markets desktop support specialist provides real time onsite support and will be responsible for maintaining stability and improving productivity. Team is onsite on the BMO Trade floor providing IT support for all the Traders, Bankers and support staff needs. This is a very dynamic fast-paced environment requiring high energy individuals with desktop skills to support Traders.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing a client base of : 350 Traders including desktops and peripherals, VDI’s, Laptops, Surfaces, Thin Clients, IPC turrets, Printers, iPhone and headsets.
• Day to day deskside support with shifts covering 6 : 00am to 6 : 30pm weekdays with flexibility for occasional evening and weekend assignments.
• Provide Windows 10, Office 365 environment support.
• Level 1 Support for all Trading applications and Level 1 video Conference support.
• Level 2 support for market data applications (Bloomberg, Factset, Thompson Reuters / Eikon Refinitiv).
• Digital workflow management via Service Now incident tracking (MAC’s CRQ’s).
• VPN support and onboarding / offboarding of users.
• Hardware ordering for deskside devices and work-from-home setups.
• Support traders in the office and when working from home; support DR site and DR tests; assist with planning and executing moves.
• Possess strong technical and / or business functional knowledge of systems, timing and dependencies; maintain a high level of professionalism and problem-solving skills; quickly learn new technologies.
• Lead / conduct incident recovery and detailed root-cause analysis; provide end-to-end technology support including computer, applications, network and storage, with root-cause analysis.
• Drive and / or promote new processes, systems, technology, and operations; adapt to unique job requirements and expand capabilities for performance.
• Proactively monitor system performance and identify operational improvements to ensure smooth delivery to customers and business partners.
• Provide initial triage and investigation with fast turnaround times on issue / incident resolution; identify opportunities to strengthen operational capability and share expertise.

Qualifications

• 5 Years professional experience in trading, financial services, health sector, pharmaceutical or legal.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; focus on customer service satisfaction; excellent troubleshooting skills.
• A+, Network +; VMware experience is a plus.
• Fluency in French and English to support operations outside of Quebec (as applicable).

Compensation and Benefits

Salaire : $61 600,00 - $113 900,00
