Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Lead - Android Developer in Canada to shape the future of our Android applications. You will leverage your deep technical expertise across the SDLC, interfacing with key stakeholders, defining architecture and high-level design, and contributing high-quality code for modules.

You will lead validation across testing phases and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required; those with progressive experience in lieu of education may be considered.
• At least 4 years in Information Technology; 6+ years in Android development with proven shipping track record.
• Eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship; relocation may be required; travel to project locations possible.
• Strong Kotlin and Jetpack Compose experience; deep knowledge of MVVM, VIPER, and Dagger.
• Proficient with Android Studio; able to write unit and integration tests; experience with third-party SDKs.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga/Toronto, ON (Canada) or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in Android development with a proven track record of shipping successful applications.
• Expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose programming languages.
• In-depth understanding of modern design patterns like MVVM, Viper, and Dagger.
• Strong experience with Android Studio development environment.
• Proven ability to write unit and integration tests using relevant frameworks.
• Experience integrating and utilizing third-party libraries and SDKs effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively lead and work within a cross-functional team.
• A passion for building user-centric and high-quality mobile applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in Android Development
• At least 6 years in Kotlin and at least 2 years in Jetpack Compose programming languages
• Good experience in project life cycle activities on development projects.
• Experience with cloud platforms and backend technologies relevant to mobile development is a plus.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Experience in Telecom domain
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.

Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:

Ontario: $ 92740 to $ 123375
