Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Production Support Specialists to ensure the stability, performance, and privacy compliance of critical applications in a 24×7 production environment. This role is part of the Data Management & Governance team, with a strong emphasis on Data Privacy. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL, Snowflake, Splunk, and API troubleshooting, along with experience supporting privacy-centric platforms and ensuring adherence to data protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data management, development & infrastructure teams for root cause analysis.
  • Lead production support activities for mission-critical data privacy applications.
  • Monitor system health & performance using Splunk & Grafana.
  • Investigate & resolve application issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Manage incidents & service requests in alignment with SLAs.
  • Provide support for APIs & data-related issues, including Snowflake queries.
  • Participate in 24×7 rotational shifts & ensure smooth handovers.
  • Document troubleshooting steps &contribute to knowledge base.

Must-Have Skills:
  • Database & Querying:SQL
  • Data Platforms:Snowflake
  • Monitoring & Logging:Splunk, Grafana
  • Application Support Experience:Incident triage, root cause analysis, resolution
  • API Troubleshooting:RESTful APIs, error handling, &performance monitoring
  • Production Environment:Experience in 24×7 support models, including on-call rotations
  • Understanding ofdata privacy principlesandsecure data handling

Good-to-Have Skills:
  • Database Technologies:Oracle
  • Cloud Exposure:AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Automation & Scripting:Python, Shell scripting

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • Candidate must live within commuting distance ofBurnaby, BCor be willing to relocate.
  • Experience in production support or application support roles.

The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.

Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:

British Columbia : $ 81575 to $116670
