Position Description :

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or client office at a minimum of 2 days per week — subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

  • Define and implement product development for online and banking teams.
  • Innovate to develop new products and enhancements to existing ones to improve customer experience.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to take products to market and manage associated risks to ensure compliance, including risk reporting.
  • Make strategic recommendations to senior leaders based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
  • Manage resources and lead the execution of strategic initiatives to meet business and financial goals.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead change management programs, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment.
  • Review solution architecture and provide guidance to technology teams.
  • Drive the business case and strategic roadmap for products and services, including project and budget approval.
  • Optimize financial performance and customer value of the product portfolio.
  • Continuously improve processes to identify issues and enhance customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

  • Experience leading technology teams across varied technology platforms.
  • Experience in software integration using SOAP, REST web services, and Full Stack Technologies (Angular, Java, AWS Lambdas, Node.js).
  • Experience with database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server is an asset.
  • Expert knowledge of design, analysis methodology, and application development processes.
  • Understanding of SDLC, DevOps, Agile, QA requirements, and software release procedures.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience or strong working knowledge of credit card systems is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving and managing multiple priorities.
  • Relationship management skills.
  • Proven success as a technical team leader.
  • Ability to quickly develop in-depth technical understanding of new applications and platforms.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Experience working effectively with diverse technology and business teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong leadership skills with a background in applications development.
