The role of the traditional, on-premise-only DB software sales executive is changing as we pivot to the next generation of cloud computing, which will dramatically increase our addressable market reach and wallet share.

As a Sales Manager, you will demonstrate as a hunter of cloud workloads, driving value and cost benefits to customers by moving their workloads to OCI. You will also position solutions by helping our database install base customers move not just their databases but all workloads, both Oracle and non-Oracle, to the cloud. This person will play a key role in increasing Cloud (PaaS and IaaS) adoption. You will work closely with enterprise clients, selling new services and bringing in net new business within your territory.

Responsibilities :

  • Define strategies and act to generate long-term and short-term customer success and business results.
  • Exceed quarterly sales targets by selling Oracle PaaS / IaaS into named accounts and/or within an assigned geographical or vertical market.
  • Manage the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a focus on new business sales and expanding existing accounts.
  • Develop territory strategy and manage it effectively, creating a qualified target account list within 30 days.
  • Develop pipeline through cold calling, email campaigns, and market intelligence, ensuring over-achievement within the territory.
  • Engage with prospects to position Oracle solutions through value-based selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, references, and analyst data.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process with appropriate resources such as Pre Sales Consultants, Business Development Consultants, Oracle Consulting, Executives, and Partners, utilizing tools like ESPs and Customer 360.
  • Update the Oracle Sales Cloud system daily with accurate customer and pipeline data.
  • Provide accurate monthly forecasts and ensure revenue delivery.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of new product offerings through self-research and learning.
  • Work closely with customer success managers to ensure customers derive value from their investments and high subscription renewal rates.

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in selling enterprise software solutions or services, ideally IaaS and/or PaaS.
  • Proven success in net new business sales with consistent overachievement against targets.
  • Ability to build relationships across different parts of the business, partners, and customers, and identify synergies across lines of business.
  • Solid understanding of the IT industry’s cloud landscape and market.
  • Experience selling with a cloud vendor is beneficial.
  • Strong skills in building value propositions and positioning proposals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Proven ability to work well as part of an extended sales team.
