Job summary

Thoughtworks Toronto is recruiting for a Technology Advisory professional to lead research and strategic analysis for client engagements, combining market insights with technology landscape assessments. You will use AI to accelerate discovery while maintaining quality and deliver executable roadmaps.

Collaborating with architects, engineers and client stakeholders, you will craft executive-ready deliverables and contribute to continuous improvement through reusable frameworks and knowledge

• Experience in management or technology consulting, business analysis, technology strategy, product or digital transformation, or data analytics.
• Experience in technology-enabled business initiatives is highly valued.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to validate AI outputs.

• Drive research and analysis through advisory and consulting activities: industry and market research, technology landscape assessments, business process analysis, data analysis and interpretation.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate research while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Translate business problems into actionable insights and structure problems into workstreams for client engagements.
• Support client engagements with executive-ready presentations and workshops.
• Document business and technology requirements, support strategic assessments and roadmaps, evaluate technology options and transformation opportunities.
• Apply AI to enhance delivery by using AI responsibly to improve speed and quality of advisory work and develop repeatable prompts and workflows.
• Review work products to ensure they are accurate, well-structured, insightful, client-ready and evidence-supported; identify gaps and risks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing reusable frameworks and methodologies and sharing lessons learned across engagements.

Job responsibilities

• You drive research and analysis by performing core advisory and consulting activities including: Industry and market research, Technology landscape assessments, Business process analysis, Data analysis and interpretation, Competitive benchmarking, Opportunity identification.
• You leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate research and analysis while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
• You translate Business Problems into Actionable Insights. You work with clients and engagement teams to understand business objectives and challenges, gather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information, structure complex problems into manageable workstreams. You identify patterns, risks, opportunities, and trade-offs and develop evidence-based recommendations.
• You support client engagements by contributing to client-facing advisory work by preparing executive-ready presentations and deliverables & facilitating workshops and discovery sessions.
• You document business and technology requirements, support strategic assessments and roadmap development and help clients evaluate technology options and transformation opportunities.
• You apply AI to enhance delivery by using AI responsibly to improve the speed and quality of advisory work by accelerating research and information synthesis and supporting analysis and content development. You develop repeatable prompts and workflows, validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and relevance and continuously improve how advisory work is delivered.
• You ensure quality and delivery excellence by reviewing work products to ensure they are accurate, well-structured, insightful, client-ready and supported by evidence. You identify gaps, inconsistencies, and risks before deliverables are shared with clients.
• You contribute to continuous improvement by helping to strengthen the Technology Advisory practice by capturing reusable frameworks, templates, and methodologies and sharing lessons learned across engagements. You improve research approaches and analytical methods and contribute to internal knowledge assets and AI-enabled delivery practices.

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

• You have solid experience in one or more of the following: Management or technology consulting, Business analysis, Technology strategy, Product or digital transformation or Data, research, or analytics.
• Your experience working on technology-enabled business initiatives is highly valued.
• You have experience in Business & Technology Analysis and have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• You are AI-enabled and comfortable using AI tools to enhance research, analysis, and content creation. You understand how to validate AI-generated outputs and continuously explore new ways to improve productivity through AI.

Professional Skills

• You have the ability to connect business needs with technology solutions and you are comfortable working with ambiguity and complex problems.
• You are a structured problem solver, breaking down complex challenges into logical components, synthesizing information into clear recommendations and thinking strategically while remaining detail-oriented.
• You are an excellent communicator written and verbal, you create executive-ready presentations and documentation, and you are able to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• You work collaboratively and effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• You partner closely with Technology Advisors, architects, designers, engineers, and client stakeholders and Builds trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
