Raise is currently hiring a Technology Adoption Specialist on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The successful candidate in this role will primarily be responsible for driving the adoption of Microsoft 365 technologies and developing engaging, high-quality instructional content (articles and videos) for M365, ServiceNow, and other critical technology platforms. This role requires a blend of strong business analysis, technical documentation, and project support skills to ensure technology solutions are effectively implemented, understood, and utilized across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for pushing adoption of M365 technologies and creating instructional documentation (articles and videos) for M365, ServiceNow, and other technology platforms.
  • Produce high quality documentation such as Governance documents, Process Impact Assessments, Process Maps and Designs and follow through on deliverables with stakeholder reviews, approvals and sign-offs so that projects are implemented safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.
  • Liaise with internal and external teams / vendors on data migration and system interface activities to ensure dependencies are understood, addressed, and requirements are correctly communicated and recorded using documents such as Business Requirements, Functional and Non-Functional Requirements, Data Requirements, Business Scenarios and Use Cases, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Functional Specifications, and User Interface Specifications.
  • Assist with testing, including creation of test documentation such as Test Plans, Test Scenarios/Scripts and Test Reports to ensure that the business requirements are met.
  • Provide ongoing clarification and support to the user experience, development, training, and testing teams to ensure correct interpretation of the business requirements and process design and to contribute to their success.
  • Assist the Project Manager with planning activities for subsequent phases of the project; assist the Change Management/Training Lead with communications, stakeholder analysis, change management approach, training, and roll-out activities; contribute to the successful transition to sustainment teams; document meeting outcomes in meeting minutes to enable timely completion of project tasks.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of working experience as a Business Analyst in small to medium technology related projects in a complex enterprise environment or equivalent.
  • Experience with producing high quality documentation such as Governance documents, Process Impact Assessments, Process Maps and Designs and follow through on deliverables with stakeholder reviews, approvals and sign-offs
  • Must haves
    • Experience in Camtasia to develop training videos
    • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, and Access)
    • Excellent communication skills for professional environment, written and spoken
  • Marketing skill set will be considered an asset
  • M365 experience will be considered an asset
  • Good working knowledge of the Public sector or utilities industry would be an asset for this role
Education And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of the business domain and how the business objectives will be met with the technology solutions
  • Experience with business and technology landscape
  • Experience with Project Delivery Methodology
  • Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Additional Information

  • Preference for candidates that are located in the lower mainland with the ability to work a hybrid schedule of at least 2 days in the office
  • Remote candidates are also be considered (willing to work PST hours) but preference will given to local candidates)
  • Every contractor must supply their own Windows 10 or 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
  • Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network
