Qualifications

Job description

Relevant to the associate architect and part of a collaborative team based in Montreal, the intermediate or senior architectural technologist primarily works on residential and commercial projects. They may also be called upon to work on projects in other sectors such as institutional, industrial, or educational.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assembly and structuring of sets of plans;
  • Construction details;
  • Possibility to oversee construction sites if interested;
  • Additional skills considered assets include:
  • Analyzing workshop drawings;
  • Coordinating with other disciplines;
  • Preparing architectural estimates;
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience;
  • Knowledge of materials;
  • Understanding of building codes and regulations;
  • Strong technical skills;
  • Proficiency in Office (Word and Excel), AutoCAD, and Photoshop;
  • Experience with high-rise projects;
  • Knowledge of Revit software;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Good communication skills in both oral and written French and English.
