POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking an Electronic Technologist (Temporary 6 months) based in Montreal, QC. The Electronic Technologist is responsible for contributing to our electronic product development projects by providing technical support, conducting tests, and ensuring product quality. They will develop and perform ESD testing on electronic components and systems and analyze test results and recommend mitigation strategies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct environmental tests (temperature, humidity, vibration, shock) and set up test chambers and equipment.
• Monitor and record test parameters and perform functional tests and measurements.
• Prepare detailed test plans and procedures, document test setups, calibration, and results.

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and French (English is required for communication with teams and suppliers outside Quebec).
• Ability to work effectively within a global, multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.

WHAT WE PREFER

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in lab work.
• Strong background in Hardware Rework and Repair, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Testing, and Electronic & Environmental Testing.
