Technologist – NETE

Location: LaSalle, QC, Canada

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, Onsite

Purpose of Role: The position of Technologist focuses on planning and executing engineering/technical projects to support the testing and evaluation of equipment at the NETE LaSalle permanent test facilities, and on maintaining those facilities. The role may also involve mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct qualification tests in the permanent test facilities at NETE LaSalle.
• Provide guidance for preventive and corrective maintenance of those facilities.
• Create test instructions and final test reports for equipment under test.
• Support task leaders in coordinating activities required for qualification testing.
• Demonstrate a 100% commitment to zero-harm safety behaviors.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

• Electro‑mechanic diploma of vocational studies or higher.
• Experience in a test cell environment.
• Experience with electro‑mechanical maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with Canadian Navy equipment, installation, set‑up, and operations.
• Eligible to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance (requires Canadian citizenship and at least 10 years of residence in Canada).
