Job Description

Shift : 13 : 00-21 : 00, Monday to Friday

Type : Replacement and new positions

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform Breast Imaging procedures as per protocols and manuals.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain medical imaging equipment for optimal performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive written and electronic reports documenting procedures and results.
  • Ensure compliance with CAR and OBSP digital quality assurance standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, training, and educational activities.
  • Perform additional duties related to the role, with potential rotation across Breast Imaging sites as needed.
  • Maintain professional behavior and communication standards aligned with regulatory bodies and WCH standards.
  • Act as an advocate for safety, promoting principles and practices that ensure a safe environment for all.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in Medical Radiation Sciences, Radiography, or Radiological Technology from a recognized program.
  • Certification with CAMRT (RTR) and current registration with CMRITO in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of outpatient hospital experience preferred.
  • Completion of post-diploma Mammography courses (Mammography 1 & 2) via CAMRT preferred.
  • Commitment to continuous education.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical proficiency.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to be trained in breast ultrasound.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Good attendance record.
