Position Overview

Calian ITCS is currently seeking a Technologist for a current opportunity to perform the following duties:

Responsibilities

• Perform system level analysis in order to develop system and hardware level interconnection diagrams for test environments
• Develop test plans, test cases and procedures, and test methods for system verification tests
• RF Experience in order to develop radio test environments
• Set up and configure radios to develop a test case or investigate a problem.
• You will work side-by-side with the customer in an Integrated Product Team environment and interact with software engineering, systems engineering, and management teams
• This position will include working with Networking and routing, VLANs, Microsoft applications, radios, voice and data networks, and various automation, troubleshooting, and simulation tools (Robot Framework, Wireshark, VCCI, CORE, VBS).
• Share knowledge and present ideas to colleagues, provide leadership and mentoring to junior members

Qualifications

• Clearance: Secret (mandatory)
• Language: English
• Electronic or Electromechanical Diploma
• Practical experience of integration and verification of electronic systems at a system level
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Experience with communication systems and technology
• Experience in defining, developing, and executing system tests
• Familiarity with Ethernet communications, networking, VLANs, Internet Protocol (IP)
• Knowledge of system and qualification test fundamentals
• Hardware experience to plan rack and cable plant installations
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.
