Job summary

A heavy equipment services company in Laval is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to analyze and repair equipment as needed. The ideal candidate will hold a Heavy Equipment Technician Certification and have 1 to 2 years of experience troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.   • Your role :

    • Work safely
    • Analyze failure and perform repairs as required.
    • Complete full reports on repairs and identify causes of failure for each problem encountered.
    • Order parts to complete repairs.
    • Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective parts.
    • Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and customer requirements are met.
    • Clean, lubricate, and perform regular maintenance on equipment.
    • Meet scheduled time allotments for repairs.
    • Notify Supervisor and/or customer of all repairs needed on machines.
    • Complete work orders, request credit for unused parts, collect documentation, and forward to Supervisor for invoicing.
    • Be aware of the impact of discussions with customers regarding product performance.
    • Perform any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.

    What you bring :

    • Heavy Equipment Technician Certification or equivalent education and experience.
    • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
    • Knowledge of Komatsu products is an asset.
    • Proficiency with computer software and working with portable units.
    • Hardworking, proactive, self-reliant, team-oriented, and customer service focused.
    • Valid driver's license.
