Under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for:

• Sampling materials (aggregates and asphalt) at factories,
• Conducting laboratory tests on aggregates and asphalt,
• Detecting anomalies or non-conformities in test results and notifying the supervisor,
• Preparing samples for external testing,
• Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment,
• Data entry,
• Performing on-site tests on aggregates, asphalt, cement concrete, or BCR (occasionally),
• Carrying out other health and safety-related tasks as part of the job,
• Performing other related duties.

Quality Responsibilities:

• Adopt behaviors that respect quality concepts and comply with applicable procedures, laws, and regulations,
• Understand the impact of your work on material quality and your responsibilities towards customer loading.

Health, Safety, and Environment Responsibilities:

• Promote and demonstrate leadership in health and safety,
• Ensure the implementation of established programs (accident investigation and analysis, observations, corrective actions, preventive inspections, etc.).

Experience and Education:

• AEC or DEC in civil engineering, mining engineering, or geology,
• Relevant work experience in civil engineering, particularly in quality control,
• Or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience,
• Knowledge of on-site material control is a plus,
• Ability to lift 20-25kg,
• Valid Class 5 driver's license (REQUIRED),
• Computer skills (REQUIRED),
• Construction site safety card (ASP) is an asset.
