Une entreprise de premier plan dans le secteur immobilier recherche un(e) Technicien(ne) juridique pour fournir un soutien technique en recherche juridique et dans la rédaction de documents légaux. Le candidat sera responsable de la gestion des demandes des locataires, de la préparation des dossiers et de l'interaction avec les tribunaux. Ce poste convient à un professionnel débutant avec une forte capacité d'analyse et une bonne communication, cherchant à se développer dans un environnement dynamique.

Qualifications

  • Études en techniques juridiques considérées comme un atout.
  • 1-2 ans d'expérience en administration ou en affaires juridiques souhaitée.
  • Connaissance de la représentation des clients devant la Tribunal administratif du logement est un plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyser les demandes des locataires en collaboration avec le spécialiste de la récupération.
  • Conduire des recherches et analyses juridiques, principalement en droit immobilier.
  • Ouvrir des dossiers dans le système de collection.

Job Summary : The incumbent provides technical assistance in legal research and will draft various legal documents and settlement proposals. They ensure the maintenance and indexing of classification systems related to receivables from former CAPREIT tenants. The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze tenant requests in collaboration with the recovery specialist.
  • Gather all evidence in our possession and work with the Administrator to obtain additional documents.
  • Schedule and organize meetings with properties for proper case management.

Claims for relocation and damages :

  • Open files in our collection system.
  • Prepare claims / amendments for former residents' files.
  • Represent the company before the Tribunal administratif du logement for CAPREIT's portfolio.
  • Request screening tests and maintain a tracking table for these requests.
  • Communicate with property managers and staff regarding damages related to tenant departures.

Implementation of decisions :

  • Decide on enforcement measures to recover debts.
  • Determine which files to transfer to external collection agencies.

Administration :

  • Conduct legal research and analysis, especially in real estate law.
  • Follow up with bailiffs, trustees, screening companies, courts, etc.
  • Compile data for statistics and tracking in their sector.
  • Identify the most effective and economical recovery methods for each account, applying standardized practices diligently.
  • Draft recovery correspondence requiring knowledge of procedures and practices, and send various letters to former tenants.
  • Apply received payments to appropriate accounts, record precise accounting notes, reconcile files, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain records of overdue accounts, documenting methods used for collection in JurisÉvolution software.
  • Communicate with former residents to explain account statuses, arrange payment plans, and follow up to ensure compliance.
  • Occasionally make collection calls outside normal hours.
  • Assist colleagues during absences or workload surges.
  • Open files in the provincial unclaimed property database and manage related claims.
  • Research RDPRM and follow up with bankruptcy trustees for former residents.
  • Assist in preparing annual training for staff.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

Education and Experience :

  • Current studies or diploma in legal techniques (a major asset).
  • 1-2 years experience in administration and / or legal affairs (an asset).
  • 2-3 years relevant experience.
  • Own a car and hold a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French (English knowledge is a plus).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience representing clients before the Tribunal administratif du logement (a plus).
  • Knowledge of SAP (a plus).
